The buyer then applied to a Chinese People’s Court for recognition and enforcement of the Singapore court judgment. The Chinese court granted recognition in accordance with applicable international judicial assistance principles and domestic law, and successfully enforced the judgment against the exporter’s assets located in China, enabling the buyer to recover its losses.
