But after years of practice, I&#8217;ve come to realize that being a lawyer is far less profitable\u2014and certainly far less easy\u2014than most people imagine.<br \/>\nFirst of all, my work constantly involves me in other people&#8217;s disputes. Even the smallest task I handle can have a significant impact on my clients&#8217;lives and interests. Because of that, I always think things through carefully before making any decision or taking any action. And even after I finish something, I go back and double-check everything to make sure there are absolutely no mistakes. The time investment and psychological pressure are actually extremely high.<br \/>\nSure, I might look confident and composed when I&#8217;m speaking in court\u2014but as the Chinese saying goes: \u201cTen minutes on stage take ten years of practice offstage.\u201d Every single day, I&#8217;m working to improve myself, studying new laws, refining my arguments, and preparing meticulously behind the scenes. Most of this effort is invisible to others.<br \/>\nWhen you add up all these hidden costs\u2014the long hours, the constant stress, the emotional toll\u2014it becomes clear that this profession demands tremendous dedication.
